We have the opportunity to improve so many lives.

1.5 Bn people worldwide live without grid electricity. At least half of them could benefit from an off-grid cooling system for uses such as medicines and food. This would have a massive socio-economic impact.

In addition to this, we forecast that an average Mediterranean home using 4 kW of solar cooling would save approximately 13,000 kWh per year. This means saving €3,000 and 7 tonnes of CO2.

Solar Polar solutions have a great potential in tackling these numbers, because it is affordable, modular and off-grid. We listed below the use cases that we targeted, based on the greatest impact that our solutions can have, together with a viable route to market .

Use case 01

Vaccines and medicines refrigeration.

Use case 02

Sustainable air-conditioning.

The more sun you have, the more cooling you need so solar cooling is a no-brainer. We've discovered how.

Our product is particularly advantageous where mains gas is not available, and electricity is used for space heating. Electricity is 2 to 4 time more expensive way to heat water and buildings than gas. As electricity prices increase and gas becomes scarcer and more taxed for emissions, then this difference will increase.

Using our affordable and off-grid technology, we designed a solution to tackle this problem: Cool Box.
